The Use of Synonyms in Writing
Good writers (and speakers) usually avoid repeating the same words and instead use synonyms.
The following three blocks of sentences are taken from the reading passage. Find the words that are synonyms in each block. Click on the words you think are synonyms. The first one is done for you as an example.

A fish farm is an artificial environment in which fish, as well as aquatic plants, are raised commercially for food. This method of farming is also referred to as aquaculture or contrived enclosures. fish are provided with proper feeding, veterinarian services when needed and protection from sea predators.

A fish farm is a sophisticated system in which all vital elements are kept under control. For one, fish containment systems employ an array of complex interconnected sensors that detect any significant signs of diseases, viruses, bacteria and parasites that the fish may suffer from.
