Instructions:

Complete the sentences using the correct form of the verbs in brackets. Remember:

  • Mixed Conditional uses simple past or past perfect after if based on the situations that are referred to.
  • It is used to refer to an unreal present situation and its probable (but unreal) past result.
  • Format 1: If + past perfect, would + infinitive (for present unreal consequence of a past unreal situation).
  • Format 2: If + simple past, would + have + past participle. (for past unreal consequence of a present unreal situation).
