The present perfect connects the past with now. We use has or have with a past participle.

I have finished.
She has eaten.
We have not gone.

What does it mean?

Past action, present connection.

I have lost my key.I lost it before now, and I do not have it now.Past action affects now.

Main rule

Use has / have + past participle.

Subject + has/have + past participle.

Double letters

Some short verbs double the last letter.

Some verbs have special past participles.
